Three new tablets from Internet giant

Amazon filled up a line of products with two new models of tablets: Kindle Fire HDX 7 and Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. Also company announced updated Kindle Fire HD. Kindle Fire HDX 7 and Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 represent the third generation of tablets. These are the first tablets of Amazon based on the high-performance quad-core 2,2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 graphics.

 

 

7-inch model includes display with resolution 1920х1200 pixels (density of pixels per inch — 323 ppi), and features of 8,9-inch model indicators are better  — 2560×1600 pixels resolution and 339 ppi.

Both tablets are equipped with frontal HD cameras, and have 2 Gb of RAM and 32 or 64 Gb of flash memory onboard; also it supports Wi-fi 802.11n. One of models also has 8-megapixel back camera. Devices are based on Android 4.2 and run on Fire OS 3.0 OS.

Thanks for the body made of magnesium alloy new tablets have rather small weight.  The weight of one model is 303 g (with 186 X 128 X 9,0 mm size); other model weights 374 g, and its size is 231 X 158 X 7,8 mm.

The maximum duration of tablets working time is 11 hours in Performance mode and up to 7 hours in Reading mode.

It should be noted about changes in design of device. The body of tablets became more angular; power and sound buttons are on the back side of device.

New models can be ordered on-line. Kindle Fire HDX 7 will be available on October 18; the price starts from $229 (16 Gb model). Sales of HDX 7 version with support of 4G will start from November 14; device will cost $329. Fire HDX 8.9 tablet with 16 Gb of built-in memory can be bought at the price of $379 ($479 for the 4G-version) from November 7.

Besides Fire HDX 7 and Fire HDX 8.9 company presented the updated Kindle Fire HD tablet. It includes the 7-inch touch screen with the resolution 1280×800 pixel, the dual-core 1,5-GHz TI OMAP 4 processor, and has 8 or 16 Gbytes of flash memory onboard. The price of 8 Gb model starts from $139. Sales of updated Kindle Fire HD will begin on October 2.
