Sony Walkman NW-ZX1 and NW-F880 series

Representative office of Sony in Japan declared release of new NW-F880 series media players and Walkman NW-ZX1 model which run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

 

 

Both devices are based on the quad-core TI OMAP 4 SoC processor with 1 GHz of clock frequency and 1 Gb of RAM. 4-inch multitouch display has resolution of 854x480 pixels, also there is support of Wi-fi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. The loudspeaker, FM Radio, NFC adapter and the GPS receiver are onboard too.  Devices have access to the Google Play Store; besides, developers declared support of the MP3/AAC/WAV/FLAC/Apple Lossless formats and AVC/MPEG-4/WMV 9.  The S-Master HX digital amplifier allows reproducing of a sound with the resolution of 24 bits / 192 kHz, for more comfortable use of device, control buttons are situated on the right end face of the body.

Sony Walkman NW-F886 with 32 Gb of flash memory debuted during the IFA 2013 trade show, and now Sony launches models with16 Gb of storage (NW-F885 model) and 64 Gb (NW-F887) without possibility of expansion. Devices of the Walkman NW-F880 series are offered in several color options. The built-in accumulator provides 35 hours of listening music or 5 hours of viewing of video. Size of new products is 116, 6x59, 9x8,5 mm and its weight is 103 g.

The all-metal body of Sony Walkman NW-ZX1 has very unusual form.  It is the first MP3 player of the company equipped with 128 Gb of storage.  The device is capable to contain a huge number of music, many HD movies and favorite games for Android which size sometimes passes for gigabyte.

The Sony Walkman NW-ZX1 size don't exceed 122,8x60,7x15.3 mm, weight is 139 g; its working time is 32 hours.

The price of Sony Walkman NW-F885, NW-F886 and NW-F887 is $275, $305 and $405 respectively.
